Welcome to the SSC for Social Sciences!
The StudiesServiceCenter (SSC), together with the StudiesServiceUnits (StudServSt), is available to students and teachers for all questions relating to their ongoing studies and courses. The StudiesServiceCenter for Social Sciences coordinates the directorates of studies of the individual departments at the Faculty of Social Sciences.
Please note:
Since 05.03.2024, the digital version of the academic thesis has to be submitted via u:space.
The submission procedure still consists of three steps and includes the upload to u:space, the submission of the signed upload confirmation by e-mail and the submission of the two printed copies.

- Information and consultation specific to a degree programme
- Questions about teaching and curriculum planning
- Questions regarding registration and deregistration for courses and examinations, examination pass, course examinations, examinations before a comittee, defensio
- Recognition of exams taken in Austria and abroad
- Approval of topics + supervision of the master's theses
Directors of Studies (SPLs)
Direct contact with the SPLs is only necessary in very few cases during everyday studies.
The directors of studies are responsible, among other things, for planning the range of courses offered, for expertise- and subject-related decisions and chairing examination committees.
