What is an EC?

In addition to compulsory and elective subjects, extension curricula (EC) must be completed as part of the bachelor's degree programmes in the social sciences. An EC is a predefined module of 15 or 30 ECTS. Almost all fields of study offer extension curricula. 

Instead of an EC with a maximum of 15 ECTS credits, you can also complete Alternative Extensions (AE).
