Cover sheet for master's thesis

Please note:

From 05.03.2024, the digital version of the academic thesis has to be submitted via u:space.

Important

For the title page / cover sheet of the thesis, there are concrete specifications regarding the layout and the data listed. To ensure that your title page is correct in terms of form and content, the system in u:space will create it automatically from your data.

Please do not use a title page you have created yourself in advance, as this will not be accepted during the formal check.

Firstly, you need to review and verify the data in u:space that will be printed on the title page. This information is automatically loaded from university’s database and includes your name and academic degrees, as well as details regarding the supervision of your thesis.

If you have any questions and to avoid time-consuming corrections, please contact the SSC.

  • All academic degrees awarded at the Faculty of Social Sciences are written without full stops, i.e. Bachelor of Arts --> BA (NOT: B.A.). The BA is specified after the name.
  • The academic degree “Bakk.phil.” (expiring degree programme in Journalism) is specified after the name as well.

  • If you completed a bachelor’s programme at another university or in an expired curriculum, please check your bachelor’s certificate and your notice of degree award for the correct spelling.

  • Academic degrees obtained abroad can only be specified if they have been previously entered or recognised by the Admission Office.
